Telstra was experimenting with A.I., and in the process created a new kind of chatbot – smarter than the rest. Now they needed an identity.
The problem? Everyone hates chatbots. So we’d create one they liked, by doing something different.
Introducing Orb. He’s not a chatbot, he’s an all-knowing being.
Orb is inspired by Sci-Fi films like ‘Her’ and ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’, he’s omniscient and omnipresent. Some say he looks like a fortune-teller’s crystal ball that holds all the answers.
He’s dynamic, never in one spot.
He floats around organically.
And he predicts your questions, so you know how to use him.
The verdict? He was loved. So much that he was invited to the stage at Mumbrella 360, as part of Telstra’s A.I. summit.
